Goregut is a rat festival observed on 31 May. It is a vile and debauched day of slaughter and wickedness held in honour of the Raith Sidhe. The custom nearly died out in Deptford during the time when Jupiter reigned in the sewers, remembered only by the likes of One-Eyed Jake who secretly followed the old gods. It is wisest for mice and other potential victims to remain indoors at this time lest they end up as peeled sacrifices.
