Rough Noise Day is a mouse holiday taking place on 5 December. It is a time when individuals or whole families who have been behaving rudely or constantly upsetting others throughout the year are told of their bad behaviour by their neighbours. Ringing bells and shouting a list of the offending faults, the community march three times around the boundaries ending up at the nuisance's door where the shamed miscreant must apologise and promise to mend his ways.
