This article has been distinguished as part of the real world and thus should not be taken as part of the fictional universe of the Deptford Mice books.
The Deptford Mouselets is a series of books by Robin Jarvis. Much like The Deptford Histories, they are prequels to the original Deptford Mice trilogy. Each Deptford Mouselets book is set in the year before the events of the first book in the Deptford Mice trilogy, The Dark Portal, and focuses on a particular young animal character. The Deptford Mouselets series is intended to introduce younger children to the main Deptford Mice books. The stories are much more lighthearted in tone, with little to no violence, and the books are not nearly as long.
So far, only two books have been published in The Deptford Mouselets series: Fleabee's Fortune in 2004 and Whortle's Hope in 2007. Two others were planned, but have yet to see publication. They are Ogmund's Gift[1] and Twit's Progress.
