The Landings were one of two sections of living quarters in an old empty house in Deptford where a community of mice lived. As the name implies, the Landings were located at the top of the house's stairway. Generally, those of the Landings were shown to be snobby in comparison to those of the Skirtings, whom they tended to look down upon. Having an uppity personality herself, Arabel Chitter always wanted to live in the Landings.
