The Starwife's chamber is located within the base of the trunk of an ancient oak tree in Greenwich Park, London. It serves as the throne room of the Starwife, where she will hold audiences with visitors. The chamber was built in the Middle Ages after the Hallowed Oak, where the Starwife's quarters once were, was felled by Hobb. Ysabelle was the first Starwife to occupy the new chamber.

A banner hangs across the entrance to the chamber, dark blue and richly embroidered with silver stars. The chamber itself is incredibly spacious, and suspended from its ceiling are hundreds of small shiny objects, which include coloured foils, metal lids, links from silver chains, and polished pieces of glass. They are hung in an order representing all the constellations of the heavens.

In ancient times when the Hallowed Oak still stood, the Starglass was kept in a room of its own, but in later years it was kept in the Starwife's chamber behind her throne. For centuries the Oaken Throne was the chair upon which the Starwife sat, but when the evil spirit of Jupiter laid waste to her chambers, it was destroyed and a new throne needed to be made. The Living Throne was carved from the living trunk of a tree in the Starwife's chamber and presently serves as her chair.
