Warden Mugwort was a royal guard of the Hazel Realm, the highest-ranking of their number. After he and others of Ysabelle's entourage had been separated from their sovereign in the late-night Hobber attack, he had assumed command. With him as their leader, the forces continued to Greenreach and reunited with Ysabelle there.
